Detroit Tube Products Covid-19 Response

We would like to thank all of our customers for their efforts in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic. We too have made adjustments and are managing to the best of our abilities. This post will be used for updating our response and how we will be conducting business until the all-clear.

Summer 2021

Unfortunately, due to the low vaccination rate in Wayne County, we are still observing 1) appointments for visits 2) visitors must wear masks to enter the building. Please review our Safety Protocols For Full Production and please call for an appointment. Thank you!

Spring 2021

Happy Spring! We continue to operate at full production.  As the vaccinations increase, more businesses are opening to an ever greater degree (even here in Michigan!).  However, we still require you to call or order online and notify us when you arrive at our facility. Please review our Safety Protocols For Full Production and we hope by summer to have even better news. Thank you!

Winter 2021

Wow, it was a long year! We are still operating at full production.  However, as with many companies personnel concerns remain high. We still require you to call or order online and notify us when you arrive at our facility. Please review our Safety Protocols For Full Production.  Hopefully with the vaccines, we are only a few months away from being back to normal..  Thank you!

Fall 2020

We are now back to full production!  However, we still require you to call or order online and notify us when you arrive at our facility. Please review our Safety Protocols For Full Production.  We don’t expect things to change anytime soon but look forward to the day it does.  Thank you!

July 2020

No real change from June yet. Our new protocol requires an appointment for all supplier or customer visits. To enter our building, you’ll need a brief health check and a mask. Please contact us or fill out a request for quote form and we will respond.

June 2020

We will continue with normal business, but our new protocol requires an appointment for all supplier or customer visits. To enter our building, you’ll need a brief health check and a mask. Please contact us or fill out a request for quote form and we will respond.

May 2020

We’re Back To Work! As of Monday, May 18th we are open to normal business. We are taking all the necessary precautions to keep our employees safe. Visits by customers or vendors must be by appointment only. Like many businesses we will be starting a bit shorthanded and at near capacity. We will, of course, be working to increase our production and flexibility. In the meantime, we appreciate your patience and patronage!

April 2020

In light of current COVID-19 conditions in Michigan, Governor Whitmer has issued stay-at-home orders. Recently this was extended until May 15th. Our operations will continue to be temporarily closed during this period. This means that our manufacturing and administrative staff will be staying home and not manufacturing or shipping products. An email will continue to be monitored remotely.

March 2020

In light of current COVID-19 conditions in Michigan, Governor Whitmer has issued a stay-at-home order for 3 weeks beginning March 24th. Anticipating such an action, we closed down our operations as of 5:00 PM on March 20th for two weeks. This means that our manufacturing and administrative staff will be staying home and not manufacturing or shipping products. Email will be monitored remotely. Electronic payments will be processed as usual, and we will be paying our suppliers.

We expect to re-open on a very limited basis on Monday, April 6th for the benefit of our customers who are in essential manufacturing operations. We are taking this action for the safety and health of our community, and hope that it slows the transmission of the COVID-19 virus and contributes to protecting our health care workers and infrastructure as well as ourselves and loved ones. It’s a difficult decision to make, especially when customers and suppliers in other states and cities are at very different levels of infection and limitations on activity.
